the event

78 of CT’s own. one G.O.A.T. the crowd decides, and it runs for fourteen days.

$10,000 guaranteed. $5,000 for voters and $5,000 as the G.O.A.T. bounty.

how to vote

pick your KOL, send 1 $WIF to the address on their card. that’s it. no wallet connect, nothing to sign.

one wallet votes once. sending 1 $WIF twice from the same wallet doesn’t count twice.

send at least 1 $WIF. anything above that still counts as one vote and isn’t returned. deposits under 1 $WIF aren’t counted and aren’t returned.

when voting closes

a deposit counts if it lands in a block confirmed before the close block, so anything arriving after that doesn’t count even if you sent it seconds before.

the close block is fixed by the chain rather than by us running a script, so there’s no window where someone slips in late because nobody was watching.

wallets funded from the same source

this is the one to read.

if several wallets are funded from a shared source, they count as one vote between them. not one vote each. all activity is reviewed at close, before anything is paid, and collapsed wallets get one entry in the draw between them rather than one each.

the collapse groups and the reason for each are published at close with everything else, so you can see whether you were affected and why.

how the board ranks

counts run live while voting is open. if two options have the same votes, the one that got there first ranks higher on the board.

the live board is the count, not the result. the result is decided at close once the review has run.

how the G.O.A.T. wins

the KOL with the most verified votes becomes the G.O.A.T. verified means after the review, so the number at close can be lower than the number on the board.

the G.O.A.T. bounty starts at $5,000 and grows if the vault unlocks.

if two or more finish tied at the top, all of them are G.O.A.T. and the bounty is split between them.

how voters win

every eligible voter gets one entry in the draw, whoever they voted for. backing the winner doesn’t help you and backing last place doesn’t hurt you.

the voter pool starts at $5,000, which is 10 winners of $500 each. every additional $500 in the pool is one more winner.

the vault

creator fees accumulate through the event with no cap.

at 10,000 verified votes, all accumulated fees unlock. half to the voter pool, half to the G.O.A.T. bounty.

under 10,000 the vault stays locked and only the guaranteed $10,000 is paid.

what happens to the $WIF

the $WIF collected as votes and from trollbox posts is burned after the event.

the draw

when voting closes we publish the entry list and a block number that has not yet been mined. that block’s hash is the seed for the draw.

the block is named before it exists and the list is published before the block arrives, so neither can be selected to fit the other. once the block is mined the result is reproducible by anyone.

the draw runs within 24 hours of the close.

verifying it

after settlement we publish the entry list, the collapse groups and their reasons, the draw block and seed, and the final counts per option. everything needed to reproduce the result from chain data.

what your vote can be marked as

every wallet that voted ends up as one of these. the wording is the same on this page and on the published lists.
